I don't like to be responsible for the killing of animals. I have a very strong feeling towards their suffering. I don't like to eat anything that moves by itself - not even fish - fish are also animals. There were too many impressions to recall, but I found that tour a true inspiration. Then I wrote Japanese Dream, when I returned immediately.	思い出だせないくらい沢山の感銘を受けたけど、そのツアー(訳者註:1977年の日本公演)で真のインスピレーションを見出したよ。そのあと帰ってすぐにジャパニーズ・ドリーム(Japanese Dream)を書いたんだ。
The first song I ever played live was by the Shadows. 'The Rise And Fall Of Flingle Bunt.' I did not listen to Shadows a lot, but I learnt a few of their piece	初めてライヴで弾いた曲は、シャドウズ(Shadows)だった。"The Rise And Fall Of Flingle Bunt"。シャドウズはそれほどたくさん聴かなかったけど何曲か覚えたよ。
Each person must find the right way to practise for themselves. There is no formula, because each person is different. It is important to THINK about the music - not just playing it... Don't practise too much - it's a waste of time - instead, find the RIGHT way for yourself - the BEST way - then you don't need to practise much, but you will get much better quickly. That's what I did.	自身の為の正しい練習法は各自で見つけないといけない。みんな違うんだから決まった形はないよ。音楽について「考える」のは不可能だよ。ただ弾くしかない･･･。でも、練習し過ぎてはいけないよ。時間の無駄だ。むしろ自分にあった「正しい」方法を探すんだ。「最良の」方法を。そうすれば、たくさん練習しなくてもより早く上達するだろう。私はそうしてきた。
The nine string Sky will be different from a normal guitar. It is still a secret - a normal guitar would not be able to have a good top A-string. It is a specialist virtuoso instrument - not suitable for standard playing.	９弦スカイは普通のギターとはまったく違ったものになるだろう。まだ秘密だけど、普通のギターは高音に良いＡ弦が張れないんだ。特別な名手の為の楽器だから通常の演奏には向かないだろうね。
Yes I am doing what Segovia did... The Sky Guitar is now able to be on a level with the true classical instruments, but more things need improving: amps etc...	そう、私はかつてセゴヴィアがしたことをしているんだ･･･。スカイ・ギターは今や、真のクラシック用楽器のレヴェルと言える。でも更なる改良が必要だよ。アンプとかね。
I feel a spiritual connection with the North American Indian.	アメリカの原住民には精神的な繋がりを感じているよ。
